Created by Aubrey Finney, Modified on Thu, 1 May at 6:12 AM by Muhammad Harris

If you have sent documents for signatures with DigiSign and all parties have already signed them, have no fear! You can follow the steps below to make minor changes to the documents.

⚠️ Before you proceed, answer these two questions:

  1. Is the envelope in Completed status?
    - If yes, proceed.
    - If no, follow these steps to make changes to your envelope.
  2. Do you need to make minor changes to your envelope?
    - If you only need to make minor changes, such as adding a missing signature or making small changes to the text, this guide is for you. Proceed to the steps below.
    - If you need to make major changes to your envelope, such as selecting different forms or making significant changes to the information on the form, we recommend you start by sending a fresh envelope.

Download Your Current Envelope

To make minor changes to the documents, we will start by downloading the current envelope.

  1. Navigate to DigiSign.
  2. Locate the completed envelope you wish to edit.
  3. Click on the More menu.
  4. Select Download Envelope. This will save the envelope onto your computer as a PDF.
    - Pay attention to where the document is saved; you will need to locate it in the next step!

Create a New Envelope

Now, you will upload the originally signed documents into a brand new DigiSign envelope. In the new envelope, you can make the necessary changes.

  1. Return to DigiSign and click New Envelope.
  2. First, you will be prompted to upload your documents. Click Upload Document at the bottom to get started. Then select the document you just saved to your computer, following the instructions above.
  3. Once the document is uploaded, click Next to move forward.
  4. Now, you will add the recipients. When adding your signers for this envelope, be sure only to include signers who need to take action to complete these particular changes. For example, it might only be one of your two clients, or only yourself.
  5. After adding the necessary recipients, click Next.

  6. Now, you will land on the document tagging page. You can use the various block options to make changes to the document. For example, you can easily add missing signatures and initials, use the strikethrough option to cross out incorrect text and use a text box to add new text.
  7. Once you've made the necessary changes, click Send to send the updated documents out to be finalized!
