Once a file is marked as Closed, it should be assumed that all details are complete and accurate to prevent changes after closure. If you need to update information on a closed Transaction, you will need to re-activate the file, make the necessary changes, and then re-close it. Let's go over the process!
Update Details in a Closed or Archived File
Note: This process can only be completed by an Admin-level SkySlope user.
Instructions for a Closed File
- Navigate to the Closed file.
- Click on Transaction Actions in the upper right.
- Select Archive Transaction. The page will refresh and the file status will change from Closed to Archived status, allowing it to be reactivated.
- Again, click on Transaction Actions in the upper right.
- Select Reactivate Transaction. Then click Reactivate File to confirm.
- The page will refresh, and the file will now have a Pending or Expired status. You can now add/update data in the file as necessary. For more help on updating details in a file, take a look at this tutorial.
Instructions for an Archived File
- Navigate to the Archived file.
- Click on Transaction Actions in the upper right.
- Select Reactivate Transaction. Then click Reactivate File to confirm.
