Quickly Duplicate a File

Whether you are renewing a lease, listing several units in the same condo complex or listing a new build, the duplicate file tool will be your best friend!

Duplicate a File

Whether you need to duplicate a Listing file or a Transaction file, follow the steps outlined below. You can duplicate a file from two locations: from within the file, or from the Manage Transactions/Manage Listings page.

Within a File

  1. Start by opening the file.
  2. In the upper right corner of the page, locate the Listing Actions/Transaction Actions button.
  3. Select Duplicate Listing/Duplicate Transaction.
  4. You will see a pop-up message to confirm. To proceed with creating a duplicate file, click Create.
  5. The new will will be created, and you will automatically be taken to the new file.

Manage Transactions/Manage Listings

Note: On the Manage Transactions/Manage Listings page, you will only have the option to duplicate Active/Expired files.

  1. From the SkySlope home page, navigate to Manage Transactions or Manage Listings.
  2. Locate the file.
  3. On the right side of the page, click on the Actions icon DTM Actions.png .
  4. Select Duplicate.
  5. You will see a pop-up message to confirm. To proceed with creating a duplicate file, click Create.
  6. The new will will be created, and you will automatically be taken to the new file.

Important Details

  • You can duplicate a file in any status. Whether the file is Active, Pending or Closed, you can still use the duplicate file tool! However, all duplicated files will be Incomplete until all of the data is filled out. Then, if necessary, those files can be changed to the proper status (Canceled, Closed, etc.).
  • Contacts won't be duplicated. After your file is duplicated, be sure to fill out the Contacts page to ensure the proper individuals are listed in the file.
  • Documents won't be duplicated. After your file is duplicated, you will need to ensure any documentation you need is added to your file.
