RequesterWhen a file goes past it's closing date, it changes to a status of EXPIRED. Commonly what's happening is the TC or file handler is uploading their last documents and tasking the file to the reviewer for review and close OR it's been reviewed and the TC or agent has been asked for missing documents or signatures..etc.
So the file stays in EXPIRED status until the reviewer actually closes the file and sends to be archived.
It would be helpful, when a file is in this stage that the TC/Agent/Admin file handler is able to change the status to 'REVIEW IN PROCESS or REVIEW PENDING as it does not move out of the Transaction que and down to the "PENDING APPROVAL" or "WAITING TO BE ARCHIVED" Que until the reviewer has completed their review and actually closes the file.
Also, the TC or file handler should be getting an automatic notification that the file has passed it's closing date and to adjust their COE date or (should this feature be added) change the status to "Review Pending". I think as it stands right now those notification have to be turned on by the individual user.
