Dear Skyslope Team,

I recently transitioned our entire brokerage to Skyslope, anticipating significant improvements over our previous platform. However, I’ve been quite disappointed with several key aspects of the system that were critical to our decision to make this switch.

Major Challenges & Requested Enhancements

  1. Reporting Limitations

    • We were sold on the ease of reporting, yet the process is cumbersome. Currently, we must export spreadsheets and manually organize the data just to access basic transaction insights.
    • We need a more user-friendly and dynamic reporting system that allows us to quickly analyze key business metrics without excessive manual effort.
    • For example: I should easily be able to see how much income the company is set to make in the next 90 days based on what we have under contract. Yet, I am unable to do so. In addition, it should be easy to see how many company provided leads (and where those company provided leads came from - i.e. Zillow, Google, Office call-in, etc), and who we are giving business to [i.e. lenders, attorneys, inspectors] as these are just some key metrics we track.
  2. Lead Source Requirement

    • The fact that the lead source field is not required prevents us from ensuring agents consistently input this critical data.
    • This omission makes it difficult for us to track where our business originates and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
    • A simple toggle option to make this a required field would resolve this issue.
  3. CDA (Commission Disbursement Authorization) Customization

    • The lack of flexibility in the CDA process is a significant barrier.
    • We need the ability to brand our CDAs and adjust fields to fit our brokerage’s specific needs.
    • A major issue for us is the inability to deduct holding deposits from the net amount attorneys need to distribute at closing. Since Skyslope does not support this function, we are forced to manually create CDAs in a spreadsheet, which defeats the purpose of using Skyslope in the first place.
  4. Skyslope Books & Split Plan Functionality

    • We were assured that Skyslope Books could accurately handle our commission split plans, which can be complex. However, it has been challenging to get this feature working effectively.
    • We need further refinements and more reliable automation in this area to avoid extensive manual work.
  5. Association Forms Integration

    • We were told that integrating our association forms would be a seamless process, yet after three months, they are still not available.
    • The onboarding team has provided little assistance in resolving this, causing delays and inefficiencies.

Conclusion

Overall, these issues—reporting, CDA documentation, lead source requirements, commission splits, and form integrations—are making it difficult for us to justify our investment in Skyslope. We are experiencing significant buyer’s remorse and hope these concerns can be addressed promptly to ensure the platform meets the expectations set during the sales process.

We would appreciate a response outlining any planned updates or solutions for these challenges. Please let us know how we can work together to resolve these issues efficiently.

CDAs out of Books is absolute madness. You would think it would be simple to send it to the relevant party, but it is a cumbersome manual process. I have tried tell Skyslope about it, but I feel like they don't understand.
