Requester

Real Estate Contract Terms are time sensitive.  A contract may be voided, deposits or other monies may be forfeited and opportunities may be lost if certain conditions are not met in accordance with contract due dates and timeframes.  The real estate agent does not have control over many of these timelines.  For example, Clients can unknowingly delay working with their lenders, title companies and others thinking that they have a lot of time before closing.  They are not always aware of the impending contractual deadline and the time it takes third parties to process the transactions.  I have tried to use tasks as notifications, reminders or tickler file items to help me client see the timeline for their transaction.  There are many intermediary due dates in advance of the settlement date.

Currently, I am unable to share tasks, task lists or task details with the Clients.  I am unable to send reminder emails to clients.

NOTE that  "tasks" are not necessarily items that the client or agent must directly perform.  "Tasks" are things that the client/agent should be aware of and often has some control over.  For example, if the client/agent delays providing data or information, setting an appointment or paying for an appraisal they could inadvertently not provide enough time to meet the contractual obligation.  If a contractual obligation is not timely met, a contract may be voided AND oftentimes the Client may suffer legal and/or financial consequences.

What can SkySlope do to help Clients and Agents manage transaction timelines?
