It's hard for an auditor to know if an agent is in the process of loading the file or has abandoned it permanently without being able to view the log to see their progress and when they created the file. We don't want to delete the file prematurely and it's hard to keep track of dozens of incomplete files with an office that carries large volume of deals. These Incomplete files can get out of hand really quickly. My suggestion is for the Log to be available sooner.

When we see an incomplete file, we wait 24+ hours before reaching out to the agent to ask them to complete it. With the volume we experience, it would be helpful to see the last time they touched the file, or identify if they're actively in the process of working on it before reaching out to them. ex: if the log showed us it hasn't been touched for 24 hours, we could reach out to the agent to send a reminder, then leave a note in the log for ourselves and other staff. When following up with the incomplete file the next day, if it still hasn't been touched we can delete it knowing that we've made an attempt to warn the agent first. We want to avoid deleting the file if the agent is actively working on it, but there's no way for us to know that currently.

Question for you - What would you find to be a useful indicator that a file is just incomplete or if it has been abandoned?
