Expired Listings should automatically go away!

Expired listing means that the property is no longer listed on the market and therefore, should no longer show up in SkySlope as a listing. An expired listing cannot have an offer or an accepted contract on it. An expired listing file cannot be "resurrected". A new listing file would have to be created, if the property is going to be re-listed after expiration. So there is really nothing that can be done with an expired listing file once it truly is expired. A listing extension can only be done before the listing expires.

Agents really like for these kinds of systems to be more intuitive to the way we do business. It seems like a small thing to withdraw the listing, until you have a lot of other small tasks on top of this one too.

I agree!!! The audit team spends so much time clicking through the listing files that have expired because we have to manually either accept the agent's request to cancel or (more often than not) we have to go through the process to click the cancel button on our end and approve as cancelled. This should automatically move to cancelled. It's a waste of time for the system not to automatically do so intuitively.

Hi Al,

Charleigh from the Product team here at SkySlope. Thank you for this suggestion! I have documented your request for our Product Team to review. Couple of questions for you so we can best address your feedback:

  • What region are you from?
  • What is your current workflow for handling expired listings?

Looking forward to your reply! Thanks again and have a great day!
