It would be super useful if when entering Transaction Contacts, there was an optional "MLS Agent Lookup" capability when entering "Agent Representing Other Side" details.
At the point where we are creating a transaction, we know the agent's name but likely do NOT all their brokerage details yet. It would be HUGELY helpful we could look up the agent's info from MLS and then have the system bring over all the brokerage fields including email & phone numbers.
When we are entering the co-broke info at the start of a transaction, it can be hard to know all the correct details. By linking to MLS, it would save agents time and greatly improve our data integrity downstream when everything goes to Accounting.

Hi Kallie - Thx for response & additional questions! Responses below.
Can you provide the MLS you're using?
CM: we are using mlspin.com
Would it be beneficial for an "MLS agent lookup" to be a search bar under the Agent Representing Other Side section?
CM: There already is "Search Contacts or Co-Broke Agents" there. I'd hate to have the lookup adding more space, but maybe an "MLS Agent Lookup" button or something next to that - it could even be a button that opens a popup to find the cobroke - that is how we find agents in our MLS - click search and can enter any of the following: agent first name, last name & brokerage. The MLS will return all matching agents to & we select the right one. W/ the national brokerages operating under different names locally, it can be hard to find/choose the right brokerage.
I do use the "search" box which matches any entered contacts and all the agents in my brokerage. MLS Agent Lookup option would be great if it was there when I needed it.
Could it also be useful for other contact sections, other than just the Agent Representing Other side?
CM: Great question! If I represent the buyers, it could be a helpful option to look up the sellers names via MLS Public Record. At the point when I'm creating the transaction, I may not know the exact seller names (sometimes their signatures are illegible :) or signed by attorneys/trust officers). So either I try to match by looking up in public record or if I'm really in a hurry, I enter dummy names (intending to correct later which I may or may not do).
I could see a use for looking up either agents or seller names under "Misc Contact" but this is certainly less common. The MLS would not have info on Attorney names, Lenders, or Warranty. Not sure where that info would come from if it was able to be looked up.
Thank you again for asking for more details! Feel free to get in touch if I can answer anything further! -Christine
