I am the managing broker with RE/MAX 4000. apparently skyslope is sending our customer info to a company called updater and updater is sending emails to our clients. i did not authorize this and need it to be turned off immediately. i have reached out to updater as well. In the future please DO NOT just opt in our offices and clients.

Hi Joe and Dana!
Kallie from the Product Team here at SkySlope. Thank you for reaching out and providing us with this feedback!
Regarding user privacy and data, rest assured we take both very seriously. Neither SkySlope nor Updater rent or sell your company/client data to third parties. All information is secure within each system and shared only with your consent, or as described in the privacy policies linked below. I have also passed your feedback regarding sending emails to the appropriate parties and they will be in touch if any additional information is needed.
This happened to us too and is extremely upsetting. It is NEVER ok to email our clients without us knowing and without us knowing what content is in the email. Skyslope has never done that and I cannot believe Skyslope would partner with a company that would. On top of that, the email from Updater looked like it was coming from our agents and it was extremely tacky and unprofessional. It also instructed our clients to download an app. We had a couple clients think we sold their contact information. The Updater integration cannot be viewed under the Broker/Admin account. The individual agents got a pop up at login to Skyslope describing Updater and to close the pop up they had to either select "Got It" or "Show Me" both options would then enable Updater. I contacted Skyslope support to see if they could immediately turn it off for all my agents and they couldn't. It has to be done from each agent login. Skyslope should not be offering features to individual agents that the Brokerage cannot control. I want assurance that it has been turned off for all our agents.
