I can see when setting up the file that there is a field to enter the File Number. It would be helpful to be able to see the File Number in the Transaction Information (like you can see the Escrow Number) rather than having to click on the Transaction entry tab to see it.  As an Admin, I assign the number to the file, but then have to dig for it when it comes time to close the file.

We are in Oregon and are required to assign a file number to each file, which are generated by our accounting system. Listing Files have a different number than a transaction file. I've been making do by recording a file number (i.e. 002635) to a listing, then when it converts to a Transaction I replace the listing number in the same File Number field to record the Transaction number (i.e. remove 002635 and change it to 11000231) The original Listing File number remains in the File Log, so I haven't been too concerned about it, but it would be nice to be able to have both a Listing file number and a Transaction File number. Thanks!

Hi Sheree!

Charleigh from the Product Team here at SkySlope. Thank you for reaching out and providing us with this feedback! I've documented your request and we'll also monitor this post for upvotes and comments. Couple of questions for you -

  • Is the file number a field that is only assigned by your office, or something required for transactions in your region? If required, what region are you in?
  • Are there any other fields you'd like to see added to the Transaction Information area?

Looking forward to your reply! Thanks again and have a great day!
