RequesterWe use transaction tasks templates and it really helps with newer agents especially, that we have an explanation section on the spreadsheet beside each task title. In SkySlope, there's no way to do that. So, you put the title of the task, but the agent either doesn't understand it or needs help with it so they call us, constantly. The explanation section alleviates this to a great degree. As an example...
Task - Check for Buried Oil Tank
Explanation - It's not uncommon for older homes to have a buried oil tank they are still using or has been abandoned years ago. You will need to check with the city or county jurisdiction in charge of setting the requirements for either decommissioning or removing and disposing of a buried oil tank. Depending on the situation, this process can run normally about $1,500 - $3,000. IF THE SOIL IS CONTAMINATED this could raise the cost of this process dramatically. Obviously, it's best to get this process out of the way prior to putting the home on the market.
OR
Task - Change Listing to Active
Explanation - Technically, you're not supposed to have a sign up, much less advertise, prior to making the listing Active in Matrix. Therefore, you can change it to Active and immediately drive to the listing to put up the sign, any arrow signs, the lockbox, etc. Either that, or you could log into NWMLS from the house with your phone, access Matrix, and change it to Active. HOWEVER, more times than not, you will get an error message when you try to make it Active. It will tell you that you have errors and they need to be corrected. This is usually hard to do from your cell phone, so I like to launch from the office and then go directly to the home to put up the sign(s) and lockbox.

AgentHi Doug!
Kylee from the Product team here at SkySlope. Thank you for providing us with this feedback and these detailed examples! On the Task & Reminders page, would you like the option to type in the explanation when you click "New Task", and then have an Information icon appear on the agent's end which would display this explanation when clicked/hovered over? Or do you envision a different workflow for this feature? I'm excited to hear your thoughts on this!
