Requester

We have a property that has expired out. It is being relisted with us after the the time frame to use a renewal form so a a brand new set of listing documents must be drawn up. As we already had this listing within our firm, it now it shows as expired. If i were to withdraw it,  it would not show the proper status. If i use the same listing and reactivate it, i now have duplicate files on the checklists which make it harder to have a clear and concise organizing system. Withdrawing a listing means that the seller terminated their listing agreement earlier that the expiration date. I get there's a comment section where you can state it has expired, but when your dealing with so many properties, having to dig to find the status it incredibly time consuming and reports just wouldn't pull properly to have actual stats. It would be nice to be able to close the property out as truly what it is- EXPIRED. just like we have a withdrawn button, Could we have and expired button? so it fully closes out the file but still shows it as expired and not withdrawn? this way we can create a new listing if they decide to relist 3 months later...

Hi Mallette Real Estate Team,

My name is Gabby and I am part of our Product Team here. Thank you for your suggestion! A few additional questions: Why would you like this specific file moved out of your Manage Listings area? Do you plan to reuse this specific file when it renews?

You are able to edit the name of the property file and include "expired" in front of the address. For example, titling the property file "Expired - 123 Christmas Tree Lane" would allow you to easily search for expired files with a closed status.  Look forward to hearing from you!
