RequesterWe would like to request that there be a closing deadline date and a scheduled closing date in the transaction.
So there would be:
Acceptance Date
Closing deadline date
scheduled closing date
thanks,
heather

Hi Heather,
Buck, VP of Product here at SkySlope. Thank you for taking the time to make a feature suggestion!
Can you provide more information on this request such as:
1. How this would help manage the transaction? Our closing department would be able to look when a closing is actually scheduled by referring to the “Scheduled Closing Date” field. The closing deadline is used for the latest contractual date that a transaction is closing. So, if a closing date is proposed at 5/5/19 that would go into the Scheduled Closing date field but the closing deadline field will remain as the deadline of the contract for closing. If the scheduled closing date changes to 5/7 the staff can see that it changed but also see that the latest it can be changed to is the deadline date. It provides a way for agents to track their closing deadline and communicate with the office of what date they are trying to close on which isn’t the same as the contract closing deadline.
2. What you would expect to happen if the deadline date passed? If the closing contract deadline passes, the agent would have to get a contract extension and update in skyslope. The scheduled closing date field would be when they are actually trying to schedule the closing for.
3. What status would you expect the file to be in for each when the deadline passes? If the Scheduled Closing Date passes the status would be still pre-closing review as long as the closing contract deadline hasn’t also passed. If both are passed the dates then it would be ‘expired’? I think that is what the status is that shows up if the closing date is past.
Key is that there is a difference between a contract closing deadline and the scheduled closing date which has to be within the contract closing deadline but can move around some within that timeframe.
