Combining docs just as easy as splitting

Also agree- it's a function that our FREE forms program (zipforms through CAR) provides and is a function that I use multiple times throughout a transaction.  We are paying for skyslope to save time and keep organized so this should really be a function that they add!

I just called the support team and asked the same question. I never received an answer when we will have this feature added to Skyslope. I am still using Dotloop to arrange and download in one PDF. Thanks

I agree with Joyce.  I have to download all my docs from SkySlope individually then upload them to Dotloop to arrange and download in one PDF.  It would save me so much time if SkySlope had this capability.  

I can't believe you've had this issue for a year and it hasn't been addressed. Dotloop lets me save each doc as created,arrenge in the order I want them seen, then send all at one time

The main places I've encountered this are when a document is scanned and pages are out of order, or when someone submits a correction to 1 page in a multipage document, but sends only that single page. For example, if a 3 page document was missing initials to acknowledge a change on page 2, but only the updated page 2 was submitted rather than a full 3 page copy with the change. So in other platforms, I could split off pages 1 & 3 from the original document and merge those with the updated page 2 between them, so that I would have one clean, up-to-date document.

For a bulk download merge, I could see that being useful for having a complete copy of the full contract at the end of a transaction, but that is overall much less of a pain point.

This is an interesting concept that we've been discussing internally. I'm going to combine this conversation with the comments in this request. (Thank you Ash for connecting the 2.)

I'd like to get feedback from the group on a few things:

- With editing and merging - more specifically around replacing signed pages over the blank pages. Are there instances where the signed contract would lose validity if edited in this way?

- Are there specific points in the transaction that merging documents from a checklist for bulk download would be the most valuable?

I just came across this suggestion and this would be SO immensely helpful. The inability to merge documents into one PDF, for reasons already described above, has been one of the biggest drawbacks of skyslope in comparison to other platforms I've used in the past. Please implement this, even if just as a basic merge function (although a full-blown rearrange function would be helpful too)!

Edit: I see there is a similar thread found here. Are these upvotes being considered in their total?

Thank you for your consideration. I currently use Adobe PDF DC, which allows me to combine docs. Sometimes I get the TDS sig page back (page 4) but not all the pages 1-3, so I can combine them that way. 

This feature is not super important, but would be nice.

Yes and no, i am on board with Gilmourlead's idea - being able to clean up a document with replacing signed pages over blank ones. 

What you are describing may be too many steps, i can tell you my agents won't go for that - especially the fact that they are just now getting the split feature figured out. My thought would be for it to work like adobe - where it shows all the pages, you can click and rearrange pages and pull in other pages into the same file.

This sounds like a few different use cases but both could be remedied with ability to combine docs. Janelle, it sounds like you are referring to a straight sequential combining of documents into one .pdf. While Gilmourlead is looking for a way to way to add and re-arrange. This could be resolved by splitting the docs with the current feature adding the signature page and then adding back in the pages that were split off. Thank you for your suggestion. We will monitor this one for more "yes/up-votes"!

YES! Please! Sometimes i need to add a signature page to a document. Sometimes that page needs to be put in the Middle of a document. Imagine an NHD that is 18 pages and the 3 page is the sig page. I would love to insert the fully executed sig page into the middle!!
