If I need to replace or update the underlying PDF document of a digisign template, why does that cause me to lose all of my field placements, and I then essentially have to rebuild the entire template!? I have at times needed to replace a PDF with one that is almost identical and desired for my field placements to remain largely as-is, yet they all get lost and I must rebuild them all over again.

I agree, it is such a waste of time to have to completely redo a pdf... this is the case even if there are no changes to the pdf... even if you simply want to add an additional copy of a pdf that is already part of a template or envelope the fields in that pdf must each be created again... what not simply bring in the already designed fields even if you have to create new associations with those fields... the effort to draw all those fields again is such a waste of time
