Here at SkySlope, we’re continually looking at ways to improve your overall experience using our platform. When it comes to your day-to-day usage, we know know that searching for files is an essential part of your workflow, and how it impacts your ability to get things done. Search has always been high on our list of requested improvements (search options, saved searches, and contact search), and now we're delivering on those improvements! Our goal is to make it effortless and snappy to find exactly what you’re looking for.
What’s New and Improved
We rebuilt the performance and logic of our search to ensure we’re delivering the most relevant results, enabling you to quickly search, find what you’re looking for, and get on with your workflow.
How it works: In SkySlope, there are some key details (fields) that are utilized to return search results. These include Property Address, Agent Name, Client Name, Escrow Number, MLS Number, and File ID. Each file you create within SkySlope has these fields.
Currently, when you search for an address, the results are sorted based on the number of matches across those fields, with Escrow Number, MLS Number, and File ID receiving the highest priority. This causes the search results to appear random, and causes you to search for the file you're looking for.
We took all of these technical factors into account when making improvements. Below are the improvements you can expect to see.
Accuracy and Relevancy
We heard from users that older files would appear first, and that expired and archived Listings would often appear before active and pending files. This was especially true for our power users that have more files and contacts. This resulted in you having to manually sort through a long list to find what you were looking for. By improving the search logic you’ll see more accurate, relevant results returned when searching for files.

Intelligence
You'll notice search results in getting smarter. We've made some changes to logic to ensure things like grouping, file status, and date created are taken into account.
- Grouping - If you search for "123 Main St", our search now recognizes “123” is a group and not individual numbers so it won’t return individual numbers as matches high up in your search results.
- Date created - We now incorporate the file creation date to further improve the sorting results by prioritizing the most recent files first.

Filters
A completely new advantage to SkySlope's search is the ability to filter by property type! Now you can select whether you're seeing results for only Listing files, only Transaction files, or both, and also by Status (Active, Pending, etc)!
What does this mean to you...Speed!!
All of these improvements add up to one big thing:. being able to find what you're looking for faster! Try it out and see for yourself. You will notice an overall speedier experience, with more relevant results popping up much faster than before.
We hope you enjoy the new search improvements. Give it a try and see the difference for yourself. If you have suggestions for future improvements, please let us know by adding them here.
