In this article, we will outline the general process of steps that are taken when an Agent leaves their Brokerage. Agent accounts are tied to the Brokerage, so it's essential to know what steps you can take to maintain access to the resources you need and the tools you love.
Account Access
When you initially join a brokerage that uses SkySlope Suite for Transaction Management, your brokerage creates your account. Then, you receive an email invitation to create your password and access your account.
Since your account is tied to your brokerage, when you leave your brokerage, you will lose access to your account. Generally, this includes all of your Listing and Transaction files, access to your connected SkySlope Forms and DigiSign accounts, and any other miscellaneous account items. Once your account is manually deactivated by your brokerage, you will no longer be able to log in.
Before you lose access to your account:
It's essential to consider saving any items or files you will need after your account is deactivated.
- Download entire Archived or Canceled files using the one-click download tool
- Download select documents from your files
- Save documents stored in Working Docs
- Save completed/in-progress documents sent with DigiSign
- DigiSign > Locate envelope > More Menu > Download Envelope
- Save completed/in-progress documents sent with SkySlope Forms
- SkySlope Forms > Open file > Envelopes tab > Actions Menu > Download Envelope
Transferring Files
Listing and Transaction files in SkySlope Suite cannot be transferred from one brokerage to another. If you leave one brokerage that uses SkySlope Suite and join another brokerage that uses SkySlope Suite, your files will not be available in your new account. Those files cannot be transferred to your new account. That is why it's imperative to consider the tasks listed above to ensure you can access the resources you need.
What Happens Next
Your next steps will vary depending on whether or not the brokerage you join uses SkySlope Suite.
If you join a brokerage that uses SkySlope Suite...
Yay, welcome back to SkySlope! We are happy to have you. If your next brokerage also uses SkySlope Suite, here is what you can expect:
- Your new brokerage obtains your details and contact information.
- Your new brokerage creates your SkySlope account.
- You receive a Welcome to SkySlope email.
- You create your password and log into your account! Don't forget to personalize your account settings.
Account Email Address
If you want to use the same email address for your new account that you used for your first account, your first brokerage must deactivate your account. If they haven't deactivated your account, your new brokerage won't be able to create your account. If this is the case, please contact your first brokerage and ask them to deactivate your account.
Access to DigiSign and SkySlope Forms
- DigiSign: Reach out to your brokerage admin to determine if access to DigiSign is included with your SkySlope Suite account.
- SkySlope Forms: To access SkySlope Forms, log into SkySlope Suite and click on the Apps icon

If you join a brokerage that doesn't use SkySlope Suite...
Your brokerage may use a different transaction management system. If that's the case, have no fear! You can still use SkySlope Forms and DigiSign.
